Justine's Wine Bar: Reviews & Ratings
Spent $37 (including tip) on a small Caesar salad and a glass of wine *during happy hour*. Welcome to LA in 2025. The salad was fine, wasn’t fond of the dill in the Caesar. Service was just fine, nothing above or beyond or special. Dark room, it was uncomfortably warm inside. Wallpaper is cute. Instagrammable spot with very limited street parking in neighborhood. LA River trail access is close by.
I love Justine’s, one of my favorite wine bars in LA plus amazing vegan and vegetarian food. The staff are amazing and the vibe is chill with great music playing over the speakers. There is an outside patio when it’s warmer.
I love this place. The food is excellent. The drinks are excellent. The events are fun. The crowd is nice enough. I used to work in the area and ate there several times a month, now I have to make a special trip to Frogtown from mid-city, but it's always worth it.
Ok, now we can say Frogtown is a real destination! Justine’s Wine bar has everything a neighborhood hang dreams of having: Great Prices, awesome wine list, easy yet interesting plates on the menu, the vibe of the coolest place in town with a feel at home blend. Great music playing and the nicest staff you can imagine…if it wasn’t wired, you’d want them sitting at your table with your group. Top Star Count!
It’s in super cute frogtown. Parking was tough. The place is tucked away and easy to miss. Once inside the main wall is cute with the wallpaper. No host at the door so you order at the bar and seat yourself. Ordered all three cocktails. Spritz, Margarita, Espresso Martini. The Martini was the best. Ordered fries and the mushroom calamari. It was just too loud and dim. So difficult to have a conversation. It also seems it was a lot of couples or people on dates.
Absolutely amazing spot. We got here for happy hour at 4pm on a Sunday, found street parking pretty easily, and ate an incredible vegan Caesar salad that we can’t fathom how they made taste so authentic. Great playlist of late 70s / early 80s UK post-punk music curated by the barman. Good selection of bites and drinks on the happy hour menu. Well worth a visit.
Justine’s Wine Bar has stellar food, great vibes and service, and yummy drinks! I frequent their taco Tuesday and Sunday nights with jazz and lasagna! Everything on the menu is vegetarian and almost everything available as vegan. Plus they have a great happy hour menu with an impossible burger and fries for $15 plus other items but that’s a stand out! I live a few blocks away and love to walk here enjoy the food, friendly service and supporting a local business!

The bar delivers a solid happy hour experience, though some find certain dishes—like the Caesar salad with its unexpected dill note—less memorable. Still, the overall quality and value stand out, especially considering the vibrant community vibe and the events that bring the crowd together. Service is friendly and attentive, fostering a welcoming feel where guests can comfortably unwind, whether seated at the bar or on the sunny outside patio during warmer months.
